Aptly named rapids - Germans Drop, Mother-in-Law, Pinball and Cascade - are interspersed throughout the exhilarating 18km trip, which culminates in a spectacular ride through the Oxenbridge Tunnel - a 170-metre chute that is a legacy of the pioneering goldminers. The Shotover River is exciting and testing, providing a unique showcase for Extreme Green's rafting adventures. Although suitable for most levels of experience, confidence in water is an advantage.

DEPARTURE:
From the Southern Lakes Info Centre corner of Camp Street & The Mall, or pick-ups can be arranged from certain accommodation centres on morning departures.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Swimsuit and towel

WHAT IS SUPPLIED:
All transport from town to rafting base, 7mm wetsuits, wetsuit Jackets, booties, spray jackets, helmets, paddles and life jackets.
